About the event
Join local historian Tim Marriott on 96 St. (Kinistino Ave). Known as Church St. for the number of churches built in a 20 year span in the early 20th century; many original structures remain. We will talk about waves of immigration and the communities that have renewed the street. As a special bonus, this tour will include the interiors of Sacred Heart Church of the First Peoples, and St. Josaphat Ukrainian Catholic Cathedral and the Truc Lam Monastery/Edmonton Buddhist Research Institute. Tour is outdoors, and indoors held rain or shine.
Approximately 2 hours. Flat ground but some stairs will be involved for entrance to the buildings.
